Terms of professional education

The rules for enrolment, payment, withdrawal, delivery and completion of the AI Product Engineering professional education programs run by reKoncepcja. Version of 15 October 2026.

1. General provisions and provider

These terms set out how reKoncepcja provides professional education (vocational training) services, in particular the AI Product Engineering programs that prepare you to work in the AI Product Engineer specialism. This is training outside the Polish school system — it is not school education or a qualifying vocational course (kwalifikacyjny kurs zawodowy) under the Education Law. The services are provided by reKoncepcja at Fundacja Rozwoju Przedsiębiorczości „Twój StartUp”. The provider and party to the Agreement is Fundacja Rozwoju Przedsiębiorczości „Twój StartUp”, registered office: ul. Żurawia 6/12, lok. 766, 00-503 Warszawa, Polska, entered in the Polish National Court Register (KRS) under number 0000442857, NIP (tax ID) 5213641211, EU VAT number PL5213641211, REGON 146433467 (the “Foundation”, “we”). The educational activities of the reKoncepcja academy are carried out within the Foundation. These terms are available free of charge on this page before the agreement is concluded and form part of it. Contact details are in section 18.

2. Definitions

In these terms:

  • Participant — a natural person who takes part in a Course. A person without full legal capacity may conclude the Agreement with the consent of their legal representative.
  • Client — the party to the Agreement that orders and pays for the Course: a Participant ordering the Course for themselves, or a company or other organisation ordering the Course for a named Participant (such as an employee or contractor).
  • Consumer — a Participant who is a consumer within the meaning of Article 22¹ of the Polish Civil Code. Provisions on Consumers also apply to a natural person running a sole proprietorship where the Agreement is not of a professional nature for them (Article 7aa of the Polish Consumer Rights Act).
  • Course — one of the courses described in section 3.
  • Agreement — the distance agreement for participation in a Course and creation of the Work between the Foundation and the Client, naming the Participant.
  • If the Client is a company, the rights and obligations concerning conclusion of the Agreement, payment, invoices, cancellation, settlement and the Work — including the transfer of author's economic rights — belong to the Client; the Participant uses the sessions, materials and certificate. Provisions on Consumers, including the right of withdrawal (section 8), apply where the Client is a Consumer.
  • Durable medium — a medium that allows information to be stored and reproduced unchanged, such as an email or a PDF file.
  • Work — the Product's code and project created together during the Course, with the results handed over at the end: the Product's source code written jointly by the Participant and the instructors, technical and architecture documentation, personalised materials (an individual learning plan, materials, recordings and notes prepared for the Participant, code and product review reports) and the project knowledge base.

3. Education programs

Every Course has a defined program, learning outcomes (professional skills checked at the final review), number of hours, format and dates — set out in the training offer on the Course page and in the Agreement. Courses are taught online, in Polish or English — you choose when you enrol, and the choice is recorded in the Agreement. They combine one-to-one sessions with an instructor, pair coding on the Participant's product with an instructor (writing the code for the Participant's problem together and explaining every decision), mentorship and reviews (code, product, decisions), and independent work with lesson recordings, materials, practical assignments and your own project. An hour of one-to-one sessions, pair coding and mentorship lasts 60 minutes (for mentorship this includes the instructor's review work). Each Course requires about 30 hours of work per week (about 6 hours each weekday). New Course editions start on the second Monday of every month. The detailed curriculum, prerequisites and completion criteria of each Course are described on its page. We offer:

  • AI Product Engineering Essentials (Basic course · Essentials) — 8 weeks: 24 h of one-to-one sessions, 48 h of pair coding on the Participant's product, 48 h of mentorship and reviews and about 120 h of independent work (about 240 h in total). Price: €4,450 (PLN 19,450).
  • AI Product Engineering (Professional education · new specialism) — 20 weeks: 60 h of one-to-one sessions, 120 h of pair coding on the Participant's product, 120 h of mentorship and reviews and about 300 h of independent work (about 600 h in total). Price: €8,900 (PLN 38,900).
  • AI Product Engineering Advanced (Extended course · Advanced) — 30 weeks: 90 h of one-to-one sessions, 180 h of pair coding on the Participant's product, 180 h of mentorship and reviews and about 450 h of independent work (about 900 h in total). Price: €13,900 (PLN 60,750).

4. Prices and discount

Prices shown on the website and in the Agreement are gross prices for the entire Course — they include 23% VAT where the service is taxed in Poland. Polish VAT is not charged when, under the place-of-supply rules, the service is taxed outside Poland — in particular when the buyer is a business established outside Poland (reverse charge); the amount payable is then the same. What matters is the status of the buyer of the service, which we check before the Agreement is concluded, not who makes the transfer. The VAT rate applied or the basis for not charging VAT, the amount and the currency are stated in the offer and the Agreement. Prices are given in euro (EUR) and Polish zloty (PLN); the currency and amount payable are stated in the Agreement.

  • Twój StartUp beneficiaries receive a 10% discount on the full AI Product Engineering course only: the discounted price is €8,010 (PLN 35,010). The discount applies once beneficiary status has been confirmed before the Agreement is concluded and does not apply to Essentials or Advanced.
  • Moving up a level: within 6 months of completing Essentials you may conclude an Agreement for the full course and pay the list-price difference — €4,450 / PLN 19,450; within 6 months of the full-course defense you may add Advanced weeks 21–30 for the price difference — €5,000 / PLN 21,850. The beneficiary discount does not change the top-up amount.
  • The price set in a concluded Agreement does not change during the Course. Price changes on the website do not affect Agreements already concluded.
  • The Starter Path preparation programme and team training are not covered by this price list — we prepare a separate offer for them.

5. Enrolment and conclusion of the Agreement

Enrolment follows these steps:

  • Application — through the form on the Course page or by email to info@rekoncepcja.pl. An application is not an Agreement or a place reservation and creates no obligation to pay.
  • Call — we arrange a short online call to understand your goal, experience and product idea. For the full course and Advanced we run an entry diagnostic of your skills (and, for Advanced, of your project). If the chosen Course is not the right fit, we will suggest another level or the Starter Path preparation.
  • Offer — we send you, on a Durable medium, the training offer and the Agreement. The offer states the Course name and a link to its page, the program and learning outcomes, the format (online), teaching language, number of hours, exact start and end dates, gross price, payment date, completion criteria and the certificate issued, and the Foundation’s details as provider. We attach these terms, the information required by the Polish Consumer Rights Act and the model withdrawal form.
  • Conclusion — the Agreement is concluded when you confirm your acceptance in the way described in the offer (for example by replying by email, signing electronically, or sending a scan or photo of the signed document — any of these is enough). You will receive confirmation of the Agreement on a Durable medium.
  • Place confirmation — your place in the chosen Course edition is confirmed once the price has been credited by the date stated in the Agreement.
  • To take part you need a computer with internet access suitable for online sessions, and accounts in the tools named at the start of the Course.

6. Payment

You pay the Course price in full. Payments are made by bank transfer to the account stated in the Agreement, by the date it sets out. A payment is made on the day it is credited to the Foundation’s account.

  • The whole price is due before the Course starts, by the date stated in the Agreement — no later than 3 working days before the start. You may pay earlier and reserve a place in one of the next Course editions; until the start date you are entitled to a full refund (sections 8 and 9).
  • We issue an invoice for every payment — to a private person or to a company. You provide the invoice details (such as the company name and tax ID) before the Agreement is concluded. Invoices are issued in the Polish National e-Invoicing System (KSeF); private persons and businesses outside Poland also receive them by email.
  • An employer or another organisation can order the Course for its employee or contractor — it is then the Client: it concludes the Agreement, receives the invoice and acquires the rights to the Work.
  • An organisation can also just pay for the Course without ordering it — for example a grant-maker, fund or co-financing body. The Participant then remains the Client: they conclude the Agreement and acquire the rights to the Work, and the payer and how payment is settled are stated in the Agreement.
  • If you are applying for co-financing (for example from your employer or a support program), tell us when you apply. We will send the training offer needed for your application and agree the payment date and Course start after the funding decision — you do not have to pay upfront and wait for a refund.
  • We do not accept payments through the website — it has no checkout or payment gateway.

7. Course delivery, scheduling and absences

The Course starts on the second Monday of the month stated in the Agreement and lasts the number of weeks set for the chosen Course. The full course has 20 programme weeks within 24 calendar weeks — the 4 spare weeks cover holidays, illness, rescheduled sessions and support after your product launches. Dates for one-to-one sessions, pair coding and mentorship are agreed with you at the start of the Course and on an ongoing basis, taking your time zone into account.

  • You can reschedule a session by notifying your instructor within the notice period stated in the Agreement or, if the Agreement does not set one, at least 24 hours before the session. Rescheduled sessions take place at a new agreed time and are not lost.
  • A session you miss without notice counts as delivered. In sudden emergencies (such as illness) we treat it as a session rescheduled on time.
  • If an instructor cannot run a session, we tell you as early as possible and agree a new date — the session is not lost. We may provide a replacement instructor with comparable expertise.
  • For serious reasons (such as illness or family circumstances) you can ask to pause the Course or move to a later edition. We agree the terms, including when you resume, individually and confirm them by email; as a rule, moving to a later edition costs nothing extra.
  • Between sessions you have access to a chat with your instructors and to all Course materials — recordings, documentation and examples. We answer chat questions within 1 working day.
  • If a session cannot take place because of technical problems on our side, we will run it at another time without reducing the time you are entitled to in the Course.

8. Right of withdrawal (14 days)

A Consumer who has concluded the Agreement at a distance may withdraw from it without giving any reason within 14 days of the day it was concluded. It is enough to send the withdrawal statement before the deadline.

  • To withdraw, send a clear statement by email to info@rekoncepcja.pl or by post to the Foundation’s address. You may use the model withdrawal form you receive with the Agreement, also available at rekoncepcja.pl/documents/model-withdrawal-form.pdf, but you do not have to. We will promptly confirm receipt.
  • We refund all payments received without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving your statement, using the same payment method you used unless you expressly agree to another method that costs you nothing.
  • If the Course start date falls within 14 days of concluding the Agreement, we start the Course only at your express request made on a Durable medium (for example in the email accepting the Agreement). Without such a request we will offer you the nearest start date after the withdrawal period.
  • If you asked us to start the Course before the withdrawal period ended and then withdraw, you pay an amount proportionate to the services provided up to the moment you informed us of your withdrawal (Article 35 of the Polish Consumer Rights Act). As a rule we calculate it in proportion to the programme days that have passed by the day we receive the statement, out of all programme days (programme weeks × 7 days; spare weeks and agreed breaks are not counted) — for example, after 10 days of the full course, which has 140 programme days: 10/140 of the price. If we actually delivered less (for example, scheduled sessions did not take place), the amount is lower accordingly. We refund the rest.
  • Withdrawal costs you nothing if you did not ask for an early start or did not receive the required information about the right of withdrawal from us.
  • The right of withdrawal does not apply if the service has been fully performed with your express consent and you were informed before performance began that you would lose the right of withdrawal once the service was performed, and acknowledged this. With Courses lasting 8 to 30 weeks, this does not happen within 14 days in practice.

9. Cancellation, refunds and termination

Independently of the right of withdrawal (section 8), you can cancel the Course by sending a statement by email or post. Whether and how much we refund depends on when you cancel and on whether we have delivered what the Agreement promises.

  • Before the Course starts: we refund all payments within 14 days of receiving your statement. Instead of a refund, you can choose to move to a later Course edition.
  • Within the first 14 days of the Course: if the Course isn't right for you, you can cancel without giving a reason. We refund the price minus the part proportionate to the Course weeks started up to the day we receive your statement — within 14 days.
  • After the first 14 days of the Course: you can cancel at any time. We are entitled to the part of the price for the programme weeks started (spare weeks and agreed breaks are not counted) up to the day we receive your statement, plus a cancellation fee of 10% of the price of the undelivered part of the Course. The fee covers the instructor and mentor time reserved for you, which we can no longer schedule for other Participants. We refund the rest within 14 days (for example, cancelling the full course after 5 of 20 weeks: 5/20 of the price plus 10% of the remaining 15/20 of the price).
  • We do not charge the cancellation fee if you cancel for a serious reason that prevents you from continuing — for example illness or another documented emergency — or if the cancellation results from our breach of the Agreement. In that case we refund the full price of the undelivered part of the Course. Instead of a refund, you can also choose to continue in a later Course edition.
  • If we do not deliver the quality set out in the Agreement and these terms — for example, sessions or mentorship do not take place in the agreed amount, or you do not receive feedback on assignments — file a complaint (section 15). If we do not fix the problem by the deadline given in our reply, you can cancel and we will refund the part of the price for the undelivered part of the Course.
  • If we cannot start or continue the Course, we will offer another date or another instructor. If you do not accept, we will refund all payments for the undelivered part of the Course within 14 days. If we stop a Course that has started without a valid reason, we will additionally pay you an amount equal to 10% of the price of the undelivered part — the same as you pay when you cancel. This does not limit other claims you have under the law.
  • We may terminate the Agreement with immediate effect only for serious reasons: non-payment of the price despite an email reminder and an additional deadline of at least 7 days, presenting someone else’s work as your own in assessed tasks, sharing Course materials contrary to section 13, or conduct that violates the dignity of instructors or others. We will first ask you by email to stop the breach, unless its nature makes further cooperation impossible. We are then entitled to the part of the price for the Course weeks started up to the termination date; we refund any overpayment within 14 days.
  • This section does not limit the right of withdrawal (section 8): while that right applies, we settle under whichever rules are more favourable to you.

10. What the price includes

The Course price includes:

  • one-to-one online sessions, pair coding on your product, and mentorship and reviews in the amount stated in section 3,
  • lesson recordings, materials, documentation and examples,
  • practical assignments with feedback against the published criteria,
  • a chat with your instructors throughout the Course,
  • the final review and — once the criteria are met — a Certificate of Completion,
  • access to Course materials after the Course too — with no time limit, for your own learning.

11. What the price does not include

The Course price does not include costs you cover yourself:

  • a computer, software and internet access,
  • AI tool subscriptions, API usage fees, hosting, domains and other third-party services used in your project — we estimate them at about USD 20–50 a month; this is an estimate, not a provider quote,
  • the Starter Path preparation programme, team training and extra consultations beyond the Course scope, unless agreed separately.

12. Course completion and certificate

Every Course ends with a final review. You receive a Certificate of Completion once you meet the completion criteria published on the Course page and shared at the start of the Course. Final reviews:

  • AI Product Engineering Essentials: Week 8: demonstrate a working prototype and landing page, problem-validation and demand evidence (including negative findings), basic tests, costs and limitations, and explain your own decisions.
  • AI Product Engineering: Review in week 10, launch in week 18 and defense in week 20. 33 assignments, journal and attendance under the published program criteria.
  • AI Product Engineering Advanced: Weeks 1–20 are the full-course scope with the defense in week 20; weeks 21–30 develop the product after launch. In week 30 present growth metrics and unit economics, a growth experiment, architecture decisions, AI evaluations, security and load tests, monitoring and known limitations.
  • The certificate of completion of professional training states the program name, hours, dates, learning outcomes (assessed competencies), project title and the Foundation’s details as issuer. It is not a state diploma or a qualification awarded within the school or higher-education system.
  • If you do not meet the criteria, you will receive written feedback with reasons. You get one free retake of the final review or defense within 30 days; further attempts are agreed individually.
  • You can challenge an assessment through the complaints procedure (section 15).
  • We issue the certificate within 14 days of meeting the completion criteria, once the Course price has been paid. The completion criteria in force on the day the Agreement is concluded do not change during your Course.

13. Intellectual property and confidentiality

Your project belongs to you.

  • Your code, repositories, product, idea, documentation and other results of your work remain yours. Taking part in a Course does not transfer any rights in them to the Foundation or give us a licence to use them commercially.
  • During the Course you give instructors access to your repository and project materials solely for reviews, feedback, assessment and working on the code together.
  • We write the Product's code together: you create part of it and the instructors create part. At the end of the Course the Foundation hands over the Work (section 2) — the code and project created together — and transfers to you the author's economic rights in it to the extent held by the Foundation (the instructors' contribution), so that all rights in the Work are yours. Payment for the Work and the transfer of rights is included in the Course price. The scope of the Work and its acceptance criteria are set out in the annex to the Agreement, “Scope of the Work”. The Foundation is responsible for delivering the Work in that scope, not for the product's market success.
  • Until the rights are transferred, you may use the Work in the fields of exploitation listed below — including launching the product publicly and using it commercially — under a non-exclusive licence included in the Course price.
  • If the Client is a company, we hand over the Work and transfer the author's economic rights to the Client, and the licence until the rights pass belongs to the Client and the Participant. Rights to code the Participant writes alone are governed by the agreement between the Participant and the Client.
  • The rights pass when the Work acceptance protocol is signed, after the price due for the Course has been paid — in full, or as settled if the Agreement ends early — without territorial or time limits, in the following fields of exploitation: fixing and reproduction by any technique, including digital; permanent or temporary reproduction of a computer program in whole or in part; translation, adaptation, rearrangement and any other modification; placing on the market, lending and renting of the original or copies; distribution, including making available to the public so that anyone may access the Work at a place and time of their choosing; entering into computer memory and networks; commercial use, including as part of your own product and SaaS services. The transfer also covers the right to authorise derivative works and ownership of the media on which the Work is handed over. The Foundation ensures that the authors will not exercise their moral rights against you in a way that restricts your use of the Work.
  • The Work acceptance protocol must be in writing — a handwritten signature or a qualified electronic signature (Article 53 of the Polish Copyright Act). If the Agreement ends early, we hand over the Work as completed up to that day, after the price has been settled under section 8 or 9, and transfer the rights to that part under a protocol in the same form.
  • Showcasing your project, name, image or testimonial (for example in academy materials) requires your separate, voluntary consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Course materials — recordings, presentations, texts, assignments, assessment rubrics, templates, examples, the program and its structure — are works protected by the Polish Copyright and Related Rights Act and belong to the Foundation or their authors. Non-public materials and know-how shared in sessions and the chat are confidential information.
  • General Course materials, shared by all Participants, are not part of the Work. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use them solely for your own learning — with no time limit. The licence does not cover any other purpose.
  • If we shut down the platform hosting the materials, we will tell you by email at least 30 days in advance and make the materials available for download, so your access with no time limit is preserved.
  • Access to the Course is personal. Without our written consent you may not: share the materials or access (account, login, links, chat, recordings) with third parties; share copies of the materials with others or bulk-download or automatically extract the materials (you may keep files provided for download and take notes for yourself); publish, sell or distribute them in whole or in part; use them to run your own training, courses or competing educational products; or feed them into AI tools to reproduce them or train models.
  • If these rules are breached, we may block access to the materials and terminate the Agreement (section 9) and pursue the claims available to us by law, including copyright law.
  • You are free to apply the knowledge and skills gained in the Course in your work and your own projects. You may use code snippets from the examples in your own projects, including commercial ones, unless a material states otherwise.
  • Sessions may be recorded only with the consent of both parties.
  • Third-party tools and open-source libraries used in your project are governed by their own licences and terms.
  • We treat information about your project as confidential and do not disclose it to third parties without your consent unless the law requires it. Please do not share users’ personal data or trade secrets with us unless necessary.

14. Liability

We are liable for the proper performance of the Agreement in accordance with the law.

  • The Course is an educational service. We do not guarantee employment, income, funding or the market success of your product — the outcome depends largely on your work.
  • Information provided during the Course is not individual legal, tax or investment advice.
  • We are not liable for third-party services you use in your project (such as AI and hosting providers) or for how you use your product after the Course, including its legal compliance.
  • Towards Clients who are not Consumers, the Foundation’s liability is limited to the price paid for the Course and excludes lost profits; this limit does not apply to damage caused intentionally.
  • These terms do not exclude or limit Consumers’ rights under mandatory provisions of law.

15. Complaints

If the Course is not delivered in line with the Agreement or these terms, you can file a complaint by email to info@rekoncepcja.pl or by post to the Foundation’s address. There is no deadline for filing a complaint.

  • Describe the problem, the date or period it concerns and the remedy you expect, and give your contact details — this helps us handle the complaint.
  • We reply within 14 days of receiving the complaint, on paper or another Durable medium (such as email). If a Consumer receives no reply within that time, the complaint is deemed accepted.
  • Depending on the situation, we may offer, for example, extra sessions, a repeated review or assessment, a price reduction or a partial refund.
  • Consumers may use out-of-court dispute resolution, including help from a municipal or district consumer ombudsman (rzecznik konsumentów), mediation or the permanent consumer arbitration court at the regional Trade Inspection office (Inspekcja Handlowa). Information is available at prawakonsumenta.uokik.gov.pl. Using these options is voluntary for both parties.

16. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms for valid reasons, such as changes in the law, a decision of a competent authority, changes to the scope or organisation of the Courses, new services or security considerations.

  • We publish changes on this page at least 14 days before they take effect and notify Clients with a concluded Agreement and Participants by email.
  • Changes do not affect the price or Course scope set in Agreements already concluded.
  • If a change affects a Course you are taking and you do not accept it, you may terminate the Agreement before the change takes effect — we settle only the part of the price for the Course weeks started up to the termination date — without the cancellation fee (section 9) or any other cost.

17. Governing law and disputes

The Agreement and these terms are governed by Polish law, in particular the Civil Code and the Consumer Rights Act.

  • The choice of Polish law does not deprive a Consumer habitually resident in another country of the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of that country’s law.
  • Disputes are resolved by the court competent under general rules. In disputes with Clients who are not Consumers, the court competent for the Foundation’s registered office has jurisdiction.
  • These terms are available in Polish and English. In case of discrepancy, the Polish version prevails, without prejudice to Consumers’ rights under mandatory provisions of law.
  • The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy policy at /en/privacy/.
  • This version of the terms applies from 15 October 2026.
